Library

“Acharyakulam”has a big, spacious & well stocked library located on the ground floor. We have two libraries- one for boys and other for girls. There are as many as 5424 books, more than 200 educational & other CDs & DVDs, around 100 audio & video cassettes subject wise in stylish racks and almirahs all together. They are covering wide scope of different subjects. In another words we can say that our libraries are mines of knowledge and information. Here the students enrich and supplement their knowledge with the books of library and also keep them abreast with the current information by going through various newspapers, magazines, periodicals, journals etc

There is Campus-wide broadband e-connectivity with Wi-Fi for anywhere-anytime computer learning. All students will have supervised internet access.They are familiar with the software packages used in modern business applications, such as word-processing, power-point, spreadsheets, database and presentations etc.There is a hi-tech E-Library where students have access to online encyclopaedias and reference material in addition to a wide gamut of books & magazines.

Library Rules & Regulation:–

If any page is torn off or book is mutilated/ spoiled in any form or lost, the student shall be required to deposit the double the cost of the book plus over due charges or deposit new copy of the book with same Author, Title, Publisher and Language plus over due charges and Technical Processing charges(Barcode, Label, Stamp etc).
The Books will be issued for 7 days only & thereafter a fine of Rupee 5/- per day per book would be charged.
No additional book will be issued during preparatory and Exam. Days.
Timing of documents issue/return and re-issue is 09:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M. (except Lunch time)
If any student is caught removing the book from the library in an unauthorized manner, a minimum fine of Rs.500/- would be recovered in addition to disciplinary action.
Students are required to maintain proper discipline & pin drop silence in the library, failing which their Library membership can be cancelled and a fine of Rs.100/- will be charged.
Reference Books/Journals/ Magazines/ Newspapers/ CDs will not be issued to the users. They can consult such documents in the library only. If reference book is taken outside the library knowingly or unknowingly, a minimum fine of Rs.500/- will be charged besides disciplinary action.
If any Student is found misbehaving with any library staff, strict disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.
The librarian has the right to recall any book without assigning any reason at any time.
No entry in the library is allowed without Identity card.
Keep your bags & personal books at the property counter at your own risk.
Mobile Phone is strictly prohibited in the Library.
